CUET PG Exam Pattern 2024 Revised, Subject wise Pattern, Marking Scheme, Total Marks

The National Testing Agency has revised the CUET PG Exam Pattern 2024 for the academic year 2024-2025 on its official website, along with the official announcement. As per the Revised CUET PG Exam Pattern 2024, the CUET PG exam will consist exclusively of domain knowledge questions. From now on, the general section/Part A of the CUET PG test has been abolished. Only 75 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) about the course for which the candidate has applied will be asked.

The test authority has also decreased the duration of the CUET PG exam. Previously, applicants had two hours to complete 100 questions in the CUET PG test. However, beginning this year, candidates will be allocated 105 minutes, or 1 hour 45 minutes, to complete 75 questions in the CUET PG 2024 exam.

Revised CUET PG Exam Pattern 2024

Understanding the CUET PG Exam Pattern 2024 is the initial stage for preparation for the CUET Postgraduate Exam that helps applicants grasp the methodology and structure of the entrance exam According to the Revised CUET PG exam pattern 2024, the CUET PG 2024 entrance test will be held computer-based for 1 hours and 45 minutes. Except for language and Sahitya papers, the CUET PG test will be administered in Hindi and English (Bilingual).

The Key components of the CUET PG New Exam Pattern 2024 are listed below

  • Exam Mode: The CUET PG 2024 examination will be conducted online (CBT).
  • Question Type: Objective Type There will be multiple-choice questions.
  • Duration: The examination will last for 105 Minutes or 1 hour 45 mins.
  • Number of Questions: Each paper will contain a total of 75 questions.
  • General Paper: There would be no General Test for each paper. As a Subject, candidates may select a General paper. The comprehension portion of these papers will be in either English or Hindi, depending on the candidate’s preference.
  • Domain Subjects: The CUET PG 2024 exam will exclusively include domain knowledge questions. 
  • Marking Scheme: Four points will be awarded for each correction response.
  • Negative Marking: For each incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted.
  • Medium of Question Paper:
  •  All questions on the question papers, except the languages and Acharya, shall be considered final in their English version.
  • Language papers will be in the relevant language, except Linguistics, which will be in English.
  • M.Tech/Higher Sciences will be offered solely in English.
  • Shiksha Shastri and Shiksha Acharya’s papers will be in Sanskrit only.
  • Humanities, sciences, and general papers will be bilingual (English and Hindi).

CUET PG 2024 Total Marks

According to the CUET PG 2024 new exam format, each question paper will feature 75 MCQs. From now on, the general section/Part A of the CUET PG test has been abolished. Only 75 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) about the Domain knowledge for which the candidate has applied will be asked.  Each CUET PG 2024 exam question is worth 4 marks. The total number of marks available for the CUET PG 2024 exam is 300 for all 75 MCQs.
