- CLAT Exam date: The Executive Committee and the Governing Body of the Consortium of National Law Universities (the “Consortium”) at their Meetings held on July 20, 2025 decided that the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 shall be conducted on Sunday, December 7 th 2025, from 2 PM-4 PM.
- Application Form dates: The portal for applying for the CLAT 2026 will become functional from the 1st of August
2025 and will remain so until 31st October 2025, the last date of application for CLAT2026.
CLAT 2026 Notification Out
The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national-level entrance exam for students who want to study law. It is conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs). Through this exam, students can get admission to 5-year undergraduate (LLB) and 1-year postgraduate (LLM) law courses. The exam is held once a year, usually in the month of December, in online CBT Mode. A total of 26 NLUs offer UG admissions and 21 NLUs offer PG admissions through CLAT. The exam is held in offline mode using pen and paper. The Undergraduate (UG) exam includes English, General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Legal and Logical Reasoning, and basic Mathematics.
