AIIMS CRE Selection Process 2026, Check Exam Pattern and Skill Test

The draft notification for AIIMS CRE-5 has been released for 1484 Group C and Group D vacancies. The selection process consists of a Computer-Based Test (CBT), Skill Test/Trade Test (for applicable posts), Document Verification, and Institute Allocation. Candidates should note that the final selection process may be updated in the detailed notification.

1. AIIMS CRE CBT Exam 2026

The CBT will be the primary stage of selection and will assess candidates on General Knowledge, Aptitude, Computer Awareness, and Domain-Specific Subjects.

The examination will be conducted in a sectional format, with each section automatically closing after 18 minutes. Candidates will not be allowed to revisit previous sections.

For 10th and 10+2 level posts, the question paper will be available in both English and Hindi. For graduate-level, technical, and mixed-qualification groups, the examination will be conducted in English only.

CBT Qualifying Marks

Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks to be considered for further stages of recruitment.

If the CBT is conducted in multiple shifts, AIIMS may adopt a normalization process. In case of a tie, merit will be determined based on higher domain-specific marks, lower negative marks, older age, and then alphabetical order of the candidate’s name.

AIIMS CRE Skill Test 2026

For certain posts under the AIIMS CRE Recruitment 2026, a Skill Test will be conducted after the Computer-Based Test (CBT) for candidates who qualify Stage I. This Skill Test is applicable only to specific posts where practical abilities are essential, such as stenography, physical standards, language translation, and technical tasks. The Skill Test stage is only qualifying in nature.

Candidates must note that qualifying the CBT alone does not guarantee final selection for posts that require a Skill Test. Final merit for such posts will be based on CBT scores, but only among those who clear the Skill Test. Candidates who do not pass the Skill Test will be considered only for those posts within the same group that do not require a Skill Test (if any).

AIIMS CRE Document Verification 2026

Candidates provisionally selected through the recruitment process will be called for Document Verification at the allotted institute. They must produce original documents along with self-attested photocopies of the application form, admit card, educational certificates, category certificates, experience certificates (if applicable), PWBD certificate, and NOC for government employees.

Candidates must ensure that all required certificates are valid as on the closing date of application submission.

AIIMS CRE Institute Allocation 2026

After preparation of the merit list, qualified candidates will be required to submit their preferences for participating institutes through the online portal. Institute allocation will be carried out based on merit rank, eligibility, Skill Test qualification (where applicable), and submitted preferences.

Candidates who fail to submit their institute preferences within the prescribed period will not be considered for allocation. Candidates allotted an institute must report for joining within the stipulated time; otherwise, their candidature may be cancelled.
