NEET Counselling 2024
NEET counselling is the process through which students get admitted to medical and dental colleges to pursue MBBS, BDS, and other courses. The NEET counselling 2024 process will begin on 1 July 2024 (tentatively) by the Medical Counselling Committee. The MCC will conduct the NEET (UG) counselling 2024 to fulfill 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats of Central universities and other institutes (deemed universities). The candidates are required to register themselves on the official website of Medical Counselling Committee at mcc.nic.in.

NEET 2024 Counselling
The NEET 2024 test will be held on May 5, 2024, and the results will be available on June 14, 2024. As a result, it is reasonable to expect MCC NEET 2024 counselling to begin in July 2024, last four to five months, and consist of different rounds. MCC is overseen by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). MCC will conduct NEET counseling for 1,09,015 MBBS and 27,868 BDS seats across India. NEET Counselling 2024 Last Date
The MCC NEET AIQ counselling process 2024 will be separated into rounds: round 1, round 2, mop up, and stray vacancy. Due to many rounds of seat allotment and counselling process, it is expected that the NEET counselling 2024 process will take place up to around 1 to 1.5 months for the All India Quota seats. The counselling schedule for the state quota seats consists of more rounds and can span up to 4-6 months from the result date, if all the states are considered.

NEET (UG) Counselling 2024 Steps
The NEET (UG) counselling process for the year 2024 will consists of the following steps:
Step 1: Complete the MCC NEET registration process, which includes payment.
Step 2: Filling out and locking the NEET 2024 counselling choices.
Step 3: Round 1 Seat Allocation and Results Announcement
Step 4: Report to the assigned Medical/Dental College (option for free entry/exit)
Step 5: Round 2 net empty spots are announced.
Step 6: NEET counselling round 2 registration (not required for already registered applicants) and new choice filling for NEET counselling round 2.
Step 7: Second round of seat allocation (leave with forfeiture of security amount option available).
Step 8: Report to medical/dental colleges/institutions in preparation for round 2 (candidates who have been assigned a seat are not permitted to quit it).

NEET Counselling 2024 Registration Link
To fill out the college options, candidates must first complete the NEET UG Counselling 2024 registration on the official website at mcc.nic.in and upload the scorecard. Following that, the seat allotment process will begin, and the Phase 1 Counselling Result will be released. Multiple rounds of admission will be conducted until all seats available in the 15% All India Quota are filled. NEET Counselling 2024 Registration Fees
Eligible candidates must complete the NEET Counselling 2024 registration, select a course and college, and pay the registration fee. The NEET counselling 2024 registration fee for different categories vary. The registration fees is also different for central and deemed universities. NEET UG Counselling 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following eligibility conditions to participate in the NEET counselling 2023 process:
- Candidates must pass the National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Test (NEET).
- They must be registered on the MCC’s official website.
- AIQ counseling for Deemed Universities will be available to all NEET-qualified students.
- All candidates, including those from the J&K UT, are eligible to participate in the AIQ and deemed university counselling.

NEET UG Counselling 2023Eligibility Criterial for Central Universities –
- Delhi University (MAMC, LHMC, UCMS) – 15% of seats in Delhi University-affiliated colleges. Candidates who have completed Class 11 and Class 12 at a Delhi-based institute would be eligible to apply for these 85% seats.
- Jamia Millia Islamia University – The institute has 50 BDS seats available, with 47 of them filled through MCC NEET counselling. The remaining three seats are covered by an institutional quota. Only candidates who have completed Class 11 and Class 12 at JMI institutes will be eligible for institutional quota seats.
- Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is a private university in Aligarh, India. The institute has reserved 50% of its seats. The remaining 50% will be filled through NEET MCC counselling. Candidates who have attended AMU for the last three years are eligible for institutional quota.
- Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has 15% of open seats. All applicants who meet the fundamental qualifying criteria for NEET MCC counselling are eligible to apply for seats at BHU.

NEET Counselling Rounds 2024
MCC offers four rounds of NEET counselling for the All India Quota seats, as follows. Following the completion of the first four rounds of NEET UG 2024 counselling, more rounds of counselling will be held to fill the remaining seats. The number of rounds may be increased further based on the number of available seats.

NEET UG 2024 Counselling Choice Filling
After finishing the NEET Counselling 2024 registration process, candidates must fill out the options by going into their MCC portal account. They must select the course/college in the order of preference.

- Candidates can add or remove options.
- They can also change a choice up or down based on their preferences.

NEET 2024 Counselling Choice Locking
Candidates must lock their choices after filling them out.
- It is important to lock it throughout the choice locking time in order to obtain a print of the submitted selections.
- MCC urges in a message, “Don’t wait until the last minute to register, lock your choices, and get a printout.”
- Please review your submitted options before locking them, as once locked, they cannot be amended or changed, even if you made a mistake. It could result in the allocation of a seat that you did not want.
- Please keep in mind that once locked, the options cannot be opened, even by MCC.
Documents Required for NEET Counselling 2024
Candidates are going to report to the assigned institute for seat confirmation must bring the following originals and photocopies of these documents with them:
- NEET admit card 2024
- NEET result scorecard 2024
- Mark sheet and certificate for Class 12
- Certificate and mark sheet of 10th standard
- Photo identification (issued by the government)

Documents Required for NRI/OCI Candidates
NRI/OCI candidates applying to Deemed Universities must present the following documents.
- Copy of sponsored passport,
- embassy certificate
- Affidavit of sponsorship (indicating that the sponsor is willing to cover all expenses for the period of the study)
- Relationship Affidavit (Candidate’s Relationship with the Sponsored)

NEET Counselling 2024 Seats Domicile
The MCC will hold four rounds of NEET counselling 2024 those are AIQ Round 1, AIQ Round 2, AIQ Mop-up, and stray vacancy. If seats remain unfilled after round 2 of NEET counselling in AIQ in 2024, they would be returned to the states. The following will be included in the AIQ for NEET UG counselling in 2024:

NEET (UG) 2024 Counselling Seats
The remaining seats in government medical institutions and all of the seats in state-sponsored medical colleges will be filled by state officials to the tune of 85% and 100%, respectively. NEET counselling will differ from state to state. Admission to MBBS in government colleges and admission to private medical colleges would be governed by state NEET counselling norms.
NEET Counselling 2024: AIQ Seat Reservation
The Government of India has introduced OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and EWS reservation in Under Graduate (UG) All India Quota seats (MBBS/BDS) in the selection of applicants through NEET UG counselling for MBBS.

NEET Counselling 2024 Security Fee Refund
The NEET counselling security fee refund will be launched by the authorities at the conclusion of the counselling process. If seats are given to candidates throughout the NEET Counselling 2024 procedure, the security deposit will be reimbursed to their respective institutions, adjusted for annual fees. If the seats are not granted to the candidates during the counselling process, the amount will be sent to the same account that was provided at the time of registration. As a result, the candidate should maintain their bank account and card active until the reimbursement process is complete.
