JEE Mains Session 2 Exam Date Revised
The JEE Main session 2 exam dates have been revised due to its clash with the CBSE board exam 2024. According to the NTA Exam Calendar 2024, The JEE Mains April Session 2024 exam will now take place from April 4 to April 15, 2024. The last date for the JEE Main Session 2 exam has remained the same. The starting date of the JEE Main session 2 exam paper was earlier on 1 April which has been now revised to 4 April 2024.
The CBSE Class 12 exams were planned to begin on February 15 and end on April 2, according to the CBSE date sheet. Subodh Singh, Director General of NTA, stated that while the NTA had previously specified a window for the second session of JEE Mains between April 1 and 15, the second session will now take place after April 3. In the wake of this, the JEE Main Session 2 starting date was revised to 4 April 2024.

Is JEE Mains Exam Date 2024 Postponed?
The JEE Mains 2024 Exam dates for session 2 clashed with the Central Board of Secondary Education’s (CBSE) Class 12 test dates. The NTA issued the IIT-JEE dates in September of last year. While evaluating both circulars, it was discovered that the examination dates overlapped. Because of this, the NTA postponed the starting date for the JEE Main session 2 exam from 1 April to 4 April 2024.
CBSE has asked NTA to reschedule the second session of JEE Main for students and has encouraged parents to follow up with NTA. A CBSE spokesman stated, “Parents are advised to follow up with NTA while the board will also send a request,” according to a news agency.

JEE Mains 2024 will be a computer-based exam conducted in two shifts. The first shift of the JEE Main exams will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and the second shift will be held from 3 to 6 p.m.

NTA JEE Mains 2024 Exam Duration
JEE Mains Date 2024 exam date for Session 2 is Between 4 April 2024 and 15 April 2024. The exam for the April session of the JEE Main 2024 will be administered online as a computer-based exam. Paper 1 for B.E./B. Tech, Paper 2A for B.Arch, and Paper 2B for B. Planning comprise JEE Main 2024. The NTA will administer the JEE Main 2024 exam in two 3-hour shifts every day. The JEE Main exam lasts 3 hours or 180 minutes.
Candidates that fall into the PwD category have 4 hours to finish the exam, with 20 minutes added for every one hour. Students who choose to take both Paper 2A (BArch) and Paper 2B (BPlan) will have 3 hours and 30 minutes to finish the test.
