RO ARO Syllabus: Prelims Exam

This is a multiple-choice objective-type test on OMR. The question paper will be bilingual (English & Hindi), except for the language sections. There is no negative marking.

Special Knowledge regarding Education, Culture, Agriculture, Industry, Trade, Living and Social Traditions of Uttar Pradesh	Specific focus on UP: its history, cultural heritage, festivals, folk arts, education system, agricultural practices, industries, trade and commerce, social customs and traditions; notable personalities of UP.
Knowledge of General English and General Hindi at the graduation level	English: Grammar (tenses, articles, prepositions, subject-verb agreement), vocabulary (synonyms, antonyms), comprehension (reading passages), sentence correction, para-jumbling. Hindi: समानार्थी, विलोम, वाक्यांशों के लिए एक शब्द, कारक, संधि-विच्छेद, समास, मुहावरे एवं लोकोक्तियाँ, वाक्यों का शुद्धिकरण, अपठित गद्यांश।
Elementary Knowledge of Computers	Basic computer hardware and software; operating systems; MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); internet and email; data entry and word processing concepts; computer terminology (RAM, ROM, CPU, etc.)

For Section K (Languages), the paper will have separate sections for General English and General Hindi. You need to answer both.

RO ARO Syllabus: Mains Exam

This is a Conventional (Subjective) type test in Pen & Paper mode. Minimum qualifying marks: 50 out of 150.
