PSSSB Veterinary Inspector Selection Process 2026

The selection process includes:

Written Examination

The exam will be held in two parts:

• Part A: Punjabi Language (Matric Level) – Qualifying Nature
• Minimum 50% marks required
• Part B: Merit-Based Objective Exam

Negative Marking

• Each question carries 1 mark
• 0.25 marks deducted for every wrong answer

After the written exam, shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification.

Punjab Veterinary Inspector Salary 2026

The PSSSB Veterinary Inspector post for 2026 is governed by the 7th Pay Commission under Pay Level-5, offering an initial basic salary of Rs. 29,200 per month. Following the completion of the probation period, candidates become eligible for additional government allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA) and House Rent Allowance (HRA), which significantly increase the in-hand salary. The overall pay scale for this position ranges from Rs. 29,200 to Rs. 92,300.
