RCFL Operator Trainee Eligibility Criteria 2026
Education Qualification
- Full-time & regular B.Sc. (Chemistry) Degree with Physics as one of the subjects during any of the 3 years of the course + passing of NCVT Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant) AO(CP) Trade (must be completed after B.Sc.) OR
- Full-time & regular 3-year Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Technology + successful completion of 1-year BOAT training under the Apprentice Act, 1961
- Candidates with HSC (Science) and direct admission to 2nd year/3rd semester of Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Technology + 1-year BOAT training are also eligible. OR
- 4 years (8 semesters) or 3½ years (7 semesters) full-time Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Technology under Sandwich pattern from a recognised University/Institution
- Candidates with HSC (Science) and lateral entry in the Sandwich Diploma are also eligible
Minimum Qualifying Marks
- Minimum 55% marks in the final year or an average of the last two semesters of the qualifying examination
- Minimum 50% marks for SC/ST candidates

- Unreserved (UR): 30 years
- OBC (NCL): 33 years
- SC/ST: 35 years

Candidates must upload a scanned copy of their photograph when filling out the online application form, as per the specifications below.
- The photograph must be a recent passport-sized colour photograph.
- The picture should be taken against a light coloured background, preferably white.
- The candidate should look straight at the camera with a natural facial expression.
- Avoid shadows or very bright sunlight on the face.
- If flash is used, ensure there is no red-eye effect.
- If wearing glasses, ensure there are no reflections and that eyes are clearly visible.
- Caps, hats and dark glasses are not allowed (religious headwear is permitted but should not cover the face).

RCFL Operator Trainee Selection Process
- Merit List & Shortlisting: Discipline-wise merit list will be prepared based on the online test, and candidates will be provisionally shortlisted in the ratio of 1:7. Candidates with nil or negative marks will not be considered.
- Skill Test: Eligible candidates, based on online test performance and document scrutiny, will be called for a qualifying skill test in the ratio of 1:7.
- Document Scrutiny: Documents of provisionally shortlisted candidates will be scrutinised as per the eligibility criteria and candidature will be cancelled in case of any shortfall or incorrect documents without further opportunity.
