GATE 2025 Eligibility Criteria

IIT Roorkee has announced the eligibility criteria for the GATE 2025 exam. To apply for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025, candidates must meet certain academic, nationality, and age requirements, which are as follows:

GATE 2025 Application Procedure

The GATE 2025 Application will start after the release of GATE Notification 2025. Candidates can start applying as soon as the GATE releases the notification on their official website. The step-wise guide to applying for the GATE 2025 application has been given below-

  • Applicants need to register using their valid and active email ID and phone number to obtain a registration number and password for the portal.
  • Using their registration ID and password, applicants can log in to fill out the GATE 2025 application form by providing personal, educational, and other relevant details.
  • While filling out the application form, applicants will be required to upload a scanned photo and signature.
  • To complete the registration, it is mandatory to pay the GATE 2025 application fee using any online mode.

GATE 2025 Application Fees

Upon submission of the completed application form, candidates must pay the specified application fee; otherwise, their applications will be rejected. The category-wise GATE Registration 2025 Fees are presented in the table below. The candidate will have to pay an additional fee if they fill their application in the extended period which is the period between 03 October to 07 October 2024.

GATE 2025 Result

Following the successful completion of the examination, IIT Roorkee will release the GATE 2025 Results for all papers. To access the GATE 2025 Results, applicants will need to enter their registration and enrollment numbers exactly as they appear on their admit cards.

GATE 2025 Cut-Off

The GATE 2025 cut-off for each paper will be announced after the results are declared. It’s important to note that the cut-off depends on the performance of the applicants and varies based on the total number of test takers, the difficulty of the question paper, the categories of applicants, and previous years’ cut-off marks. Qualified applicants will be invited for GATE 2025 counseling based on their scores and cut-off marks to seek admission into MTech and PhD courses at IITs, NITs, etc.

Following the release of the GATE 2025 results, participating institutes will send admission notifications outlining their specific admission procedures. Eligible applicants can then apply for admission to their desired institute by following the institute’s specific procedures.

The total number of subjects in the GATE 2025 Exam has been increased to 30 with two additional papers – Geomatics Engineering and Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering.
