RRB JE Syllabus 2026, CBT 1 & CBT 2 Exam Pattern, Subject-Wise Topics & PDF

Railway Recruitment Board has released the official Syllabus for the Junior Engineer exam. The RRB JE Syllabus 2026 is divided into two stages: CBT 1 and CBT 2. CBT 1 is a screening stage covering Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, and General Science, while CBT 2 mainly focuses on General Awareness, Physics & Chemistry, Computer Applications, Environment & Pollution Control, & Technical Abilities.

Candidates preparing for the Railway Junior Engineer exam should understand both the syllabus and exam pattern before starting their preparation. CBT 1 consists of 100 questions for 100 marks, whereas CBT 2 consists of 150 questions for 150 marks. Both stages have negative marking of 1/3 mark for every incorrect answer.

RRB JE CBT 1 Computer-Based Test is the screening stage for candidates appearing for the Junior Engineer exam. The paper contains questions from Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, and General Science. Candidates can check the CBT 1 exam pattern & syllabus below.
