Graduate Apprentice

Register on NATS Portal

• Candidates must first register on the Ministry of Education’s NATS portal: nats.education.gov.in

• Note down the 12-digit apprenticeship registration number, which is mandatory for filling out the BHEL online form.

• Only candidates who have completed a full-time degree course (2023, 2024 or 2025) should register.

Diploma Apprentice

Register on NATS Portal

• Go to nats.education.gov.in

• Complete the registration process and note the 12-digit registration number, which is mandatory for the BHEL portal.

• Only candidates who completed full-time diplomas in 2023, 2024 or 2025 are eligible.

Trade Apprentice

Register on Apprenticeship Portal (NAPS)

• Candidates must visit apprenticeshipindia.gov.in

• Click on “Register” to register candidate details.

• Fill personal details to complete registration. A 10-digit registration number will appear and note this carefully.

• Activate the account using the link sent to the registered email. Log in again at apprenticeshipindia.org

• Now go to ‘Profile’  and complete all details using ‘Edit ‘and ‘Add’ options.

• Aadhaar verification is mandatory, ensure the Aadhaar name matches the SSLC certificate.

Mandatory Registration in the BHEL Portal

1. Visit the official website @trichy.bhel.com

2. Click on “Apprenticeship Application Portal (THIRUMAYAM)”.

3. Select the “Register” option from the menu.

4. Carefully read all the instructions and click “I agree” to proceed.

5. Fill in the registration form and click “REGISTER” to submit it.

6. An OTP will be sent to your registered email ID and mobile number.

7. Use this OTP to create a new login password for the portal.

Filling the Application Form & Final Submission

1. Log in to the portal using the newly created password.

2. Complete the online application form with accurate details.

3. Upload scanned copies of the following documents:

   • Latest colour passport-size photograph

   • Candidate’s signature

   • 10th/SSLC mark sheet (also used as proof of date of birth)

   • Consolidated mark sheet of the required educational qualification

   • Community/OBC(NCL)/EWS/PwD certificate (if applicable)

   • Aadhaar card

   • Screenshot of candidate’s profile home page from the NATS portal showing the 12-digit registration number

The selection process involves 3 main stages, the candidates will be selected on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination. The stages are as follows:

• Merit-Based Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted purely on the basis of marks obtained in their qualifying Degree/Diploma/ITI examination.

• Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must appear with all original documents for verification. Any incorrect or missing information can lead to rejection.
