The Uttar Pradesh government set aside Rs 4.73 crore for top performers’ rewards last year.
The top performers in previous year received cash prizes.
The highest budget of Rs 29 lakh was set aside for Lucknow’s meritorious students.
25 Lucknow meritorious students received Rs 1 lakh each at the state level in 2023.
