TANCET 2024: Exam Date, Registration Last Date, Application Form

Anna University, Chennai released the TANCET 2024 Exam Date and TANCET 2024 Registration is now available. Aspirants will be able to fill out an online TANCET application form for the TANCET 2024 exam will start on January 10, 2024. Candidates must complete the TANCET Registration 2024 last date which is February 7, 2024.

TANCET 2024 Exam

Anna University administers the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test to fill PG seats throughout courses in Tamil Nadu colleges.

• They hold entrance exams for a variety of postgraduate courses, including MTech/ MArch/ MPlan/ ME, MBA, and MCA programs.
• Every year, over 40,000 MBA aspirants take the TANCET to compete for more than 15,000 seats offered by various Tamil Nadu institutes.
• TANCET Counselling is administered by DTE, Chennai, for qualified candidates seeking MBA admission.
• TANCET scores are accepted for admission to over 200 colleges in Tamil Nadu.
• TANCET 2024 will be administered offline or on paper.
• TANCET’s question paper consists of 100 questions that must be answered in 2 hours.
• Each question is worth one mark, and there is a negative marking of one-third for incorrect answers.
• TANCET 2024 MBA syllabus includes five sections: Business Situation Analysis, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Data Sufficiency, and Verbal Ability.
• The TANCET MCA syllabus 2024 is divided into four sections which include quantitative ability, analytical reasoning, logical reasoning, and computer awareness.

TANCET 2024 Registration

TANCET is a state-level exam administered annually by Anna University for admission to MBA and MCA programmes offered by colleges in Tamil Nadu. The TANCET 2024 Registration dates have been announced by the authority. The TANCET Registration 2024 will start on January 10, 2024.

Last year, Anna University started the application process on Feb 1. Based on these trends, you can expect TANCET 2024 registration to begin the first week of February 2024.

TANCET 2024 registration’s is February 7, 2024. To be eligible for TANCET exam registration, you need a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50%  and 45% marks for reserved categories. TANCET 2024 Exam Date

Anna University released the TANCET 2024 exam dates which are March 9, 2024. Last year, Anna University released the TANCET exam date in the last week of January, and the exam was conducted in the last week of March. Candidates can expect a similar trend to follow in the current exam session as well.

TANCET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who meet the TANCET 2024 eligibility criteria will be able to apply online for the TANCET 2024 exam.

TANCET 2024 Eligibility Criteria for MBA

• Degree – Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in any relevant field.

10+2+3/4/5 years pattern, or
10+3 years Diploma + 3 years pattern, or 
Bachelor of Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy/Architecture, or
10 + 2 + AMIE , or
10+3 diploma from the State Board of Technical Education + AMIE

• Qualifying Marks: To be considered for enrollment, candidates must have obtained at least 50% for the general category and 45% for the reserved category in their qualifying degree.
• Final Year Students – Candidates who will be in the final semester of their Bachelor’s degree in 2024 will also be permitted to apply.

TANCET 2024 Eligibility Criteria for MCA

• Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from an authorized institution in any relevant field.
  10+2+3/4/5 years pattern, or
  10+3 years Diploma + 3 years pattern, or 
  Bachelor of Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy/Architecture, or
  10 + 2 + AMIE , or
  10+3 diploma from the State Board of Technical Education + AMIE
• Qualifying Marks – To be eligible to take the exam, candidates must have at least 50% marks in the general category and 45% in the reserved category.
• Subjects Required: Candidates must have Mathematics as a compulsory subject at the 10+2 level.

TANCET 2024 Admission Process

The TANCET admissions process 2024 is divided into the following stages – Filling out a TANCET application form, Attending the exam, TANCET Scorecard Download, and Taking part in the TANCET counseling process.
The TANCET registration will only be available online. The application process will involve several steps such as registration, filling out personal information, uploading documents, paying fees, and printing the application.

How to Fill TANCET 2024 Application Form?

TANCET 2024 application form will be released on February 1, 2024 (EXPECTED).To fill out the TANCET application form, candidates should follow the steps outlined below.

• Go to the Official Website: The TANCET 2024 application form will be made available online via the official website – tancet.annauniv.edu.

• TANCET Registration: The first step requires candidates to register by entering the following information: their name, date of birth, gender, mobile number, email address, and password.
  Candidates who successfully registered for TANCET 2024 received a User ID on their registered mobile number and email address.
• Complete the TANCET 2024 Application Form: The next step was for candidates to fill out the personal and academic information requested on the TANCET application form 2024.

1. 1. Personal Details – The candidates need to fill in the following details such as – Name, Date of Birth, Gender, SSLC / class 10 Reg. number, Nationality, Nativity (Tamil Nadu or Other State), Address of Correspondence, Community (Others, MBC/DNC, SCA, BCM, BC, SC, ST).
   2. Academic Information: Candidates must now fill out educational details such as the year of bachelor’s degree, year of passing HSC/Diploma, examination center, and entrance exam applying for.
   3. Candidates would have to select one of the 23 papers offered by TANCET under Section Part III, which is only available to M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan. students.
   4. Choose the Course Name and Studying Information, such as Course, Specialisation / Group, and Year of Passing.

• Document Uploading: After filling out all of the required information on the TANCET 2024 application form, candidates were required to upload scanned images of their photographs and other required documents following the specifications given below.

  • The file should be between 20KB and 30KB in size.
  • Candidates must submit a recent color photograph.
  • The candidate’s face must be visible clearly.

Business Analysis – Business situations will be presented as part of a passage, from which a decision must be made and implemented.

Quantitative Aptitude – Number System, HCF LCM, Percentages, Ratios, Averages, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and loss Time, Speed, and Distance, Time and Work, Mixtures and Allegations, Quadratic Equations, Linear Equations, Logarithms, Series, and Progressions, Binomial Theorem, Inequalities, Probability, Geometry, Surds & Indices, Functions,  Mensuration, Trigonometry, Coordinate Geometry, Permutation and Combination, and Set Theory are all topics covered in this syllabus.

TANCET 2024 Result

The outcome will include overall and sectional scores. TANCET 2024 Results are expected in April of 2024. TANCET 2024 results can be downloaded from the website tancet.annauniv.edu. The marks earned will be considered during the counseling process for final admission to the MBA/MCA curriculum.

TANCET 2024 Counselling

Candidates who pass the exam are eligible to participate in the TANCET 2024 counseling process. The DTE publishes a rank list that includes the names of candidates who are eligible to participate in the TANCET seat allotment round.
