NEET PG Exam Date 2024 is August 11, Test in 2 shifts

The National Board of Examinations (NBE), also known as the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced the NEET PG Exam Date 2024 today, July 05. The NEET PG 2024 exam will be now held on August 11, 2024. The NEET PG exam 2024 will be conducted by the board on August 11 in two shifts for admission to MD, MS, and other PG medical courses.

The NBE has released the new exam date after the June 23 exam date was postponed due to precautionary measures. As expected earlier, the NEET exam will be held before the independence day. The experts had pointed that the NEET PG exam will be held before mid August.  The NBEMS has communicated the new date for the PG medical entrance exam through the official portal, natboard.edu.in.

NEET PG 2024 Exam Date

The National Board of Examinations will issue the new dates for the release of the revised admit cards too. As the new exam date has been set to August 11, candidates can expected the admit card is expected to be out on August 08, 2024, around 3 days before the actual exam. The NBE will issue the new NEET PG 2024 admit cards for the revised NEET PG 2024 exam date.

Candidates will be able to download their hall ticket after its release using the login details like User ID and password. It must be noted that applicants will not have to apply again for the NEET PG 2024 exam. The earlier application submitted by the candidates will remain valid for the revised NEET PG exam date 2024.

The NEET PG exam date 2024 notice has been released by the NBE that informs students about the exam date. The official notice states that, “In continuation of NBEMS notice dated 22.06.2024, the conduct of NEET-PG 2024 examination has been rescheduled. The NEET-PG 2024 shall now be conducted on 11th August 2024 in two shifts”. The board has once again confirmed that the NEET PG 2024 cut-off date for eligibility for appearing in the exam will continue to be August 15, 2024.

NEET PG Exam Date 2024: Postponement Reason

In response to several claims of NEET UG test question paper leaks, the administration postponed the NEET PG 2024 exam on June 22, just 12 hours before the actual exam on the planned date of June 23, 2024. The official press release stated, “Ministry of Health has decided to undertake a thorough assessment of the robustness of processes of the NEET-PG entrance examination, conducted by the National Board of Examination (NTA) for medical students.”

Who will Conduct NEET PG 2024 Revised Exam

The NBEMS will remain in charge of the conduction of the revised NEET-PG 2024 exam. It should be noted by candidates that the NBEMS’s responsibilities are restricted to managing NEET-PG, announcing the results, and transferring the results to the authorized counseling authority. Counseling and PG seat distribution are not under the purview of NBEMS. At the time of the counseling/admission procedure, the relevant authority will verify the candidates’ documents and determine their eligibility.

Candidates can check the NEET PG exam date 2024 from the official website by following the steps mentioned hereunder.

Step 1 : Go to the official website of the NEET PG 2024 exam at natboard.edu.in

Step 2 : On the home page, look for the NEET PG 2024 tab present on the upper left corner of the page. After finding the same, click on it.

Step 3 : You will be redirected to a home page of the NEET PG 2024 exam. On that page, search for the NEET PG 2024 Revised Date notification or something like that

Step 4 : On clicking that link, a PDF will open on the screen containing the new exam date for the NEET PG 2024

Step 5 : Review the exam date and download the notice for future use

NEET PG Exam Date 2024: New Changes

Due to the required time-bound components that NBE established, the NEET PG 2024 pattern has changed slightly this time. It suggests that candidates won’t be allowed to go on to the following portion unless they’ve finished the time provided for the preceding section. Until the previous section’s permitted time is out, candidates will not be able to choose to go on to the next one. The NEEET PG 2024 internship application deadline is August 15, 2024.

NEET PG New Exam Date 2024: Exam Pattern

Just like the previous year, NEET PG 2024 will be held in online mode (Computer Based Test). The examination will be held for a duration of 3 hours 30 minutes (210 minutes). The examination will consist of objective-type questions (MCQs). The examination will have a total of 200 questions for 800 marks, i.e., each correct answer will give 4 marks. The NEET PG 2024 exam will be held for 26,168 Doctor of Medicine (MD), 13,649 Master of Surgery (MS), and 922 PG Diploma seats.
