NEET Minimum Age Limit

The minimum age limit for appearing in the NEET UG exam is 17 years as of December 31 of the year of admission. This means that candidates must have completed 17 years of age by December 31 of the year in which they are seeking admission. NEET Maximum Age Limit

The maximum age limit for NEET UG has been completely scrapped and there is no upper age limit now. Earlier, the NEET upper age limit was 25 years for the unreserved category (UR) candidates. There was a relaxation of 5 years for candidates belonging to the reserved categories, which means that candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) categories have a maximum age limit of 30 years. But the NTA revised the upper age limit criteria.

Previously, there were numerous limits on the NEET 2024 age limit, courses, attempt limit, and school type. NEET Age Limit 2024 – Upper Age Limit

NEET Qualifying Codes

Aspirants should familiarize themselves with the NEET qualification codes by reviewing below.

  • Code 01: Candidates who will take their Class 12 board exam in 2024 and are awaiting their board results must select this code. However, until the time of admission, these applicants must have completed their class 12 as indicated, or they will be invalid.
  • Code 02 – If you passed your 12th grade examinations before 2024. For example, if a candidate completed a qualifying test from CBSE/ICSE or any state board in 2020 and intends to appear for NEET 2024, he or she might apply using Code 2.
  • Code 03 – If you successfully completed a pre-degree exam in science from an Indian University/Board, encompassing Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, as well as practical tests in the three science courses, you are eligible for this code. Students who have finished a state board’s class 12 may utilise this code.
  • Code 04 – If you passed any pre-professional/pre-medical exam after graduating from high school, including practical examinations. Practical tests in these topics, as well as English as a compulsory subject, will be included in the Pre-professional/Pre-medical examination.

  • Code 06 – If you have a B.Sc. in at least two of the following subjects: physics, chemistry, and biology. You need also to have cleared the class 12 qualifying exam with PCB (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) and English as key subjects.
  • Code 07 –Aspirants who have passed any other examination that has been determined to be equivalent to the Intermediate Science Examination of an Indian University/Board in scope and standard (Last two years of 10+2 Study which includes of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology; which will involve practical test in these subjects) must select this code. NEET candidates who have taken the qualifying exam in another nation are likewise able to use this qualifying code.
