Merchant Navy: Eligibility Criteria
- Eligibility Criteria for Merchant Navy Bachelor Courses:
- Candidates should have completed their 12th Boards with PCM.
- A minimum of 60% aggregate score is required in the 12th
- The minimum age criteria is between 17year – 25 years.
- Eligibility Criteria for Merchant Navy Diploma Courses:
- The Age limit should not exceed between 25- 28 years.
- For one-year Diploma courses, candidates need to pass the 12th boards with PCM and English.
- For two years Diploma courses candidates should have passed Diploma in Electrical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Marine Engineering/ Electronics Engineering/ Shipbuilding Engineering with a minimum aggregate score of 50%.
- Eligibility Criteria for Merchant Navy P. G. Courses:
- The maximum age limit for MBA and GME is 25 and 28 years respectively.
- A candidate should hold a B.E. Degree in Naval Architecture or Mechanical Engineering for GME.
- A candidate should have a bachelors degree from a recognized university can pursue MBA in Merchant Navy.
- Eligibility Criteria for Medical Fitness in Merchant Navy:
- Candidates must have normal vision (6/6) in each eye separately and must have medically fit hearing capabilities.
- Candidates are required to produce a medical fitness certificate by the authorized authorities.
