JoSAA Counselling 2021- Know CSAB’s NIT Admission Process: JoSAA counselling has successfully been concluded for NIT. There were 6 rounds in total. Students are now requested by CSAB to report to the centres that have been allotted to them. The reporting is to take place online. The counselling will take place for institutes such as NITs, IIEST Shibpur, IIT’s, and GFTI’s.

CSAB is the Board that allocates centres to the students. The full form of CSAB is Central Seat Allocation Board. Students are required to log in to the JoSAA portal and pay the admission fees. The admission fee for the unreserved category is Rs 40, 000 and for reserved categories, it is Rs 20,000. The last date to complete the payment is November 24th.

The students, who fail to make the payment, will have their seats cancelled. These seats will be treated as empty ones and students in further counselling rounds will be allocated these seats.  The payment is to be done online by visiting the JoSAA portal.

JoSAA Counselling Dates 2021

The JoSAA Counselling started on October 27th. The result for the first round allocation was declared by 31st October. Round 6 counselling has concluded and the results are yet to be declared. The round 6 counselling results will be declared on November 18th.

Students who will be allotted a seat for the first time need to upload the required documents on the official portal by November 19th latest (5 pm) along with the required amount of fees. Once they complete the above-stated procedures they are then required to report to the given centres.

After a student reports to the allotted college, then further instructions like starting of the first semester classes, hostel allocation and others will be available on the official website of the respective college.

What if you want to upgrade your existing JoSAA Counselling allotted a seat in rounds 4, 5 and six?

If a student is not satisfied with the seat allotted to him or her, then after clearing the fees he or she can take part in the CSAB special counselling rounds. If the seat up-gradation of a student takes place, then automatically the previous seat occupied by the student will be forfeited. A student needs to be very careful while filling out the choices as this might also result in losing the initial seat allotted.

NIT Admission Process: CSAB releases notification for JoSAA Counselling

Students must upload all the required documents before the last date and ensure that the payment is done. Reporting to the centre on time will ensure that their seat remains intact. The counselling process will be completed on November 19th as the results will be declared for round 6.

Special counselling rounds will start soon after the round 6 result declaration. Students can also upgrade their seats if they are not satisfied with the ones allotted to them by JoSAA. In such a case, they must be careful while filling out the choices as a single mistake on their part can cost them the initial seat.
