JEE Main, NEET 2022 Dates: Students Request Updates On Entrance Exams

Students preparing for JEE(Joint Entrance Examination) and NEET(National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) are asking for exam date updates. This year for session 2022, the NEET and JEE exam dates will be expected to be announced by our present Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Students are requesting about the JEE and NEET exam dates on Twitter, the Twitter is filled with the tweets of aspirants because last year Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ broadcast the information regarding NEET and JEE through a webinar in December 2021. National Testing Agency(NTA) is responsible to conduct NEET and JEE examinations. Last year, NTA announced the JEE Main exam dates in December, and on other hand, the NEET exam dates were announced in March. Although, the NEET 2021 wasn’t conducted on the scheduled date. NEET 2021 was scheduled for 1st August, later it was postponed due to a pandemic for the safety of students from deadly Covid-19. With safety and precautions, NEET 2021 was conducted on 12th September 2021. In this article, we have discussed the exam dates of NEET and JEE 2022.

JEE Main and NEET  Exam Dates 2022

NTA has made many changes in the NEET and JEE last year due to the pandemic. In NEET we have seen multiple changes including the two-step registration process and optional questions. In 2021, JEE Main was conducted for the first time in four sessions, and students were given optional questions like NEET in JEE.  The first two sessions of JEE Mains were held in February and March but the next two sessions were postponed due to Covid 19. Later, the JEE Main for the next two sessions was conducted in July and August of 2021.

JEE Main 2022 Eligibility Criteria

  3. Any one of (Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject)

B.Arch

  1. Mathematics

  2. Physics

  3. Chemistry

B.Plan

  1. Mathematics (Mandatory)

Subjects studied in class 12th

The candidates should have qualified in 5 subjects:

  1. Language

  2. Mathematics

  3. Physics

  4. Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subject

  5. Any other subject

Total number of JEE Main attempts

Candidates are allowed to appear for JEE Main exam for consecutive three years.

Admission Criteria for IITs, NITs, IIITs and CFTIs

B.Tech

For admissions into IITs, NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs, students must have secured a minimum of 75% marks (65% for SC/ST category candidates) or should fall under the top 20 percentile of their respective boards.

B.Arch

Students must have scored 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in Class 12th or equivalent.

 

NEET 2022 Eligibility Criteria By NTA

  • OBC/SC/ST – 40%,

  • PWD – 45%

Maximum Number of Attempts for NEET

There are no restrictions on the maximum NEET attempt limit 2022.
