CBSE Latest News: Notice For OMR Sheet

Central Board of Secondary Education would conclude the Term 1 examination by December 22, 2021. Meanwhile, the CBSE has released an official notice on the change in method to fill responses in the OMR sheet on its official website cbse.gov.in. The official notice state that “It has been observed that sometimes evaluators cannot differentiate between small letters during evaluation. This is taking more time in the evaluation of OMR.” It further added, “It is therefore directed that the examinations to be conducted from 7th December 2021 to till the end, in the OMR options will be marked by the candidates in capital A, B, C, and D as per the correct response. This decision is being taken in the midst of the conduct of examinations.”

CBSE Latest News Today: Notice For OMR Sheet for Term 1 Exam 2021-22

CBSE would conclude CBSE Term 1 Exam 2022 for class 10 on 11th December 2021 and CBSE Term 1 Exam 2022 for class 12 on 22nd December 2021. CBSE decided to change the method to fill responses in the OMR sheet amidst the board examination because evaluators are facing problems to check the OMR sheet. Earlier, CBSE has instructed students to fill small letters in the OMR sheet, but evaluators are facing problems to differentiate the letters hence Central Board of Secondary Education decided to change the method to fill the response in the OMR sheet. Now, Board comes up with a solution that students must fill the responses in capital letters for a better understanding of evaluators.

CBSE Term 1 Exam 2022: Following actions on OMR sheet evaluation to be taken strictly

Central Board of Secondary Education has changed the method to fill the responses in the OMR sheet. The method to fill in new responses will be effective from 7th December 2021 till the end of the exam. The students must fill in the responses as per the new guidelines of CBSE. To know about the new method, read the instructions given below: 

 

  1. Assistant Superintendents must announce instructions that now responses must be given in capital A, B, C, and D and not in small a, b, c, and d.
  2. Invigilators must make sure that all the candidates are giving responses in capital A, B, C, and D.
  3. The observer must ensure that responses are given by the candidates in capital A, B, C, and D during the conduct of the examination by taking multiple rounds.
  4. The Centre Superintendents are directed to disseminate the above information as soon as possible.

Through the official notice, CBSE directed that all the school Principals will also communicate to their teachers going for invigilation duty and to the students for complying with these directions.
