CBSE Class 11 Sociology Syllabus 2023-24: “Sociology is a branch of social science that studies society.” The CBSE Sociology curriculum for 11th grade students aims to enable students to relate classroom teaching to their outside environment, to introduce them to basic Sociology concepts that will enable them to observe and interpret social life, to be aware of the complexity of social processes, to appreciate diversity in Indian society and the world at large, and to build students’ capacity to understand and analyse changes in contemporary society. The CBSE Class 11 Sociology curriculum for 2023-24 is divided into five units:

Part B consists of 20 short answer questions, each worth two points.
