CBSE Class 11 Sociology Syllabus 2023-24: “Sociology is a branch of social science that studies society.” The CBSE Sociology curriculum for 11th grade students aims to enable students to relate classroom teaching to their outside environment, to introduce them to basic Sociology concepts that will enable them to observe and interpret social life, to be aware of the complexity of social processes, to appreciate diversity in Indian society and the world at large, and to build students’ capacity to understand and analyse changes in contemporary society. CBSE Class 11 Sociology Syllabus 2023-24

The CBSE Class 11 Sociology curriculum for 2023-24 is divided into five units:

Unit 1: Introduction to Sociology
Unit 2: Social Institutions
Unit 3: Social Groups and Social Categories
Unit 4: Social Stratification
Unit 5: Social ChangeThe syllabus is intended to provide students with a solid foundation in sociological principles as well as the abilities required to interpret and analyse social processes. It also allows students to improve their creativity and research abilities.

CBSE Class 11 Sociology Syllabus 2023-24 Question paper design

Part A and Part B of the CBSE Class 11 Sociology Syllabus 2023-24 question paper design are separated. Part A consists of 40 multiple-choice questions, each worth one point. Part B consists of 20 short answer questions, each worth two points.
