BHU Admission 2023 Notification

The Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has released the BHU Admission 2023 Notification for admission into various undergraduate (UG) programmes. BHU Admission 2023 registration for undergraduate courses will begin in the last week of May 2023. BHU Admission 2023 Registration

As per the BHU Admission 2023 Notification, The Banaras Hindu University (BHU) will begin the BHU Admission 2023 registration process for undergraduate (UG)  courses in the last week of May 2023. Candidates who are interested in being admitted to BHU must register using the university’s online portal, bhuonline.in, and pay the required registration fee.

The  BHU Undergraduate Entrance Examination (BHU UET) was previously administered by NTA on behalf of BHU. The CUET UG entrance exam has taken the place of the BHU UET entrance exam, though. Candidates must take the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) to be accepted for BHU admission 2023, according to the BHU admission 2023 notification. Upon the announcement of the CUET 2023 results, NTA provides scorecards of qualifying applicants to the participating universities (as per the preferences of candidates).

BHU is referred to as Banaras Hindu University. The Varanasi-based Banaras Hindu University is a revered centre of learning on a global scale. The famous nationalist leader Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya established this creative and forward-thinking university in 1916. There are 140 departments, 16 streams, 5 institutes, a women’s college, and 3 constituent schools at BHU University.

Before 2022, BHU University administered the UET and PET exams for BHU Admission; however, starting in 2022, admission will be available through the CUET (Common University Entrance Test). Now, the BHU Admission 2023 will be administered by CUET (UG) 2023. Undergraduate programmes at the university include BBA, B.Sc.,B. Tech,  B.Com, BCA, and others. Postgraduate programmes include  LLM, MFA, MBA, MTech, and MA.

According to the recently announced BHU admission 2023 Notification, students must take the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG 2023) to be accepted for BHU admission 2023.

The CUET 2023 registration link can be available on the official website of CUET at cuet.samarth.ac.in. The CUET UG 2023 application must be submitted by March 12th,2023.The Common University Entrance is held by the Ministry of Education for admission to all UG programmes at all Central Universities for the academic year 2023–2024. (MoE).

Registration for undergraduate programmes for BHU Admission 2023 will start during the final week of May 2023.Applicants who don’t register won’t be given a chance to enrol in any BHU courses. Registration through the BHU portal and the NTA’s CUET (UG) 2023 marks in the pertinent course will be used to decide admission.

Applicants who don’t register won’t be taken into account for any programmes offered through BHU admission 2023. The BHU admission for 2023 will be decided based on registration at the BHU portal and the CUET (UG) 2023 marks supplied by the NTA in the pertinent course.

BHU Admission 2023: Minimum Qualifying Secured In CUET 2023

Applicants will be chosen for admission in these programmes in order of merit based on their performance in the NTA’s CUET 2023 entrance exam, providing they meet the test’s minimal requirements for eligibility and minimum passing scores.,” according to the BHU admission 2023 notification. The following are the minimum qualifying marks: – The following are the minimum qualifying marks in an NTA-conducted admission exam for such courses.

• Not less than 35% of the marks achieved by the topper of the relevant categories in the concerned admission test for General, OBC category students;
• Not less than 25% of the marks acquired by the topper of the concerned categories in the concerned entrance test for SC, ST category candidates.

Many courses in the university’s UG programme have more than one component of assessment in the admission examination. Entrance to such programmes will be based on a composite merit consisting of entrance exam marks (BHU UET 2023) and additional entrance test evaluation components.

For admission into BA (Hons) Arts Programme, the syllabus for the entrance test contain questions from General Mental Ability, General Awareness, Basic knowledge of Plants & Animals, Numerical Ability, Environment & its Pollution, Natural Resources of Industry, Human Body, Human Health, Common Diseases, Solar System, Climate & Weather, Population Explosion, Production of Food & Raw Materials, History, Indian cultural heritage with special focus on current events in Indian Thoughts, literature and art. Also, the question paper will include two sets of MCQs on Language comprehension.

BHU Admission 2023 Syllabus- M.Com Programmes

For admission into M.Com Programme, PET contains questions from Accounting and Business Finance, Income Tax in Section A. Section B consists of questions from Monetary Theory and Banking, Business Law including Company Law, Statistics and Business Economics, Business Organization & Management.

BHU Admission 2023 Syllabus- M.A in Mass Comm

For admission into M. A Programme (Mass Communication), the entrance test contains questions based on General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Logical Quantitative and Analytical Abilities and Aptitude (inferences from the graph, tables, percentages, etc.) and Language Proficiency including Proficiency in the English Language.

BHU Admission 2023 Syllabus MCA Programme

For admission into MCA Programme, PET contains questions from Mathematical Aptitude and Analytical and Logical Reasoning. Analytical and Logical Reasoning contains questions for checking candidates’ knowledge in logical conclusions, graphical/data interpretation etc.

Mathematical Aptitude contains questions based on Matrices and Determinants, Logarithms, Inequalities, Permutation and Combination, Progressions, Binomial Expansion, 2-D Coordinate Geometry, Equations (up to degree 2), Function and Relation, Basic Concepts of Probability, Complex Arithmetic, Basics of Calculus.

BHU Admission 2023 Syllabus PhD programme 

For admission into PhD Programmes, the entrance test will have three components, Test A, Test B and Test C. Test A contain questions based on Logical and analytical thinking, Quantitative Ability, General knowledge, and Knowledge of computer usage and language skills.

Test B contains questions focusing on assessing the subject knowledge of the candidate in the discipline he/she has done Post-graduation. Test C is a research proposal and interview.
