RRB Group D Exam Date 2025 Out, CBT Starts From 27 November

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has finally notified the RRB Group D Exam Date 2025 for the Computer-Based Test. An official notice has been released today, and as per the latest schedule, the CBT for Level 1 posts under CEN 08/2024 will be conducted from 27 November 2025 to 16 January 2026. The Railway Recruitment Boards have advised candidates to carefully check the updated timetable and plan their travel accordingly.

RRB Group D Exam Date 2025 Out

The RRB Group D Recruitment 2025 aims to fill 32,438 vacancies for positions such as Track Maintainer, Helper, and Assistant. The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have shared a new update for the CEN 08/2024 Level 1 recruitment.

The notice gives the revised exam dates, details about when the City Intimation Slip will be available, information about the Travel Pass for SC/ST candidates, and important instructions for everyone appearing for the Computer-Based Test (CBT). Check the official exam date notice here.

Railway RRB Group D Exam Schedule

Over 1,08,20,000 candidates have applied for the RRB Group D 2025, and the recruitment process includes four stages: Computer-Based Test (CBT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Document Verification, and Medical Examination. The CBT exam will be held in three shifts per day across 200+ cities nationwide.

• The link to view the Exam City and Exam Date will go live on the official RRB websites from 19 November 2025 or earlier. Through this link, candidates can check the city allotted for their exam and the exact date of their CBT.
• The E-Hall Tickets (Admit Card) will be available for download 4 days before the exam date mentioned in the City Intimation link. So, the admit card will be available by 23rd November 2025.

RRB Railway Group D Exam Shift Timing

The RRB Group D Exam will be conducted in multiple shifts each day to manage the large number of candidates across various centres in India. Details such as shift timings and exam information will be shared in the city intimation slips.

Candidates must reach their exam centres well ahead of the reporting time and carry all required documents as specified in the admit card and official instructions. Important information is provided below.

• Duration: 90 minutes per shift
• Shift: 3 shifts across the day
• Reporting time: As per the individual admit card
• Negative Marking: 1/3 deduction for wrong answer.

RRB Group D Exam Pattern

The RRB Group D CBT will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions from Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness & Current Affairs. The exam duration is 90 minutes, while PwBD candidates using a scribe will get 120 minutes. A one-third negative marking will be applied for each incorrect answer.
