The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has scheduled the Computer-Based Test for MTS and Havaldar post on and from 4th February 2026 onwards. This an online exam of 270 marks and it shall be conducted in 4 shifts. SSC MTS Admit Card 2026 Out Today
SSC will release the e-admission letters of Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) applicants. This year, approximately 36 lakh candidates have applied for the exam and after a temporaray postponement, the Commission has decided to conduct the exam from 4th February 2026 onwards. SSC MTS Paper 1 Exam Pattern 2026
SSC MTS Paper 1 for Havaldar and MTS post is an online objective-type test divided into four sections. There are two sessions: Session 1 is 120 marks, whereas Session 2 is 150 marks.
- Each section has equal weightage.
- The exam will be conducted in 15 languages
- The exam duration is 90 minutes (45 minutes for each session)
- There is a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Session 2 only.

SSC MTS Selection Process
The SSC MTS and Havaldar recruitment process is conducted in multiple stages.
- For MTS, the selection is based on a single Computer-Based Test (CBT) and document verification.
- For Havaldar posts, candidates also need to clear the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) in addition to CBT and document verification.
