The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has released the RPSC SI Result 2026 on its official website on 19 June 2026. Candidates who appeared for the Sub Inspector recruitment examination can now check their qualifying status and download the shortlisted candidates’ PDF. The PDF contains the roll numbers of candidates shortlisted for the next stage of the selection process.

The Rajasthan Public Service Commission has released the result for the posts of Sub Inspector/Platoon Commander under the Home (Group 1) department in the scheduled Area and Non- Scheduled Area. The commission has shortlisted up to 20 times the number of advertised vacancies for the next stage of the selection process.

Candidates Qualifying Minimum Marks Declared PET Eligible

The RPSC conducted the objective type written examination for the Sub Inspector/Platoon commander posts on 5 and 6 April 2026. As per recruitment rules, candidates were required to secure a minimum 36% marks in each paper and 40% marks in aggregate to qualify . Candidates who appeared in both papers (General Hindi and GK & GS) and obtained the required minimum qualifying marks have been provisionally declared shortlisted for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

Why Were Candidates Disqualified in the RPSC SI Exam 2026?

According to the official data released by the RPSC, a total of 1,744 candidates have been declared disqualified. The primary reasons for their disqualification include:

• OMR Sheet Errors: Mistakes made while filling in Roll Numbers or Question Booklet numbers on the OMR sheet.
• Non-Fulfillment of Eligibility Criteria: Failure to meet the prescribed age, educational, or other structural eligibility requirements.
• Violation of Exam Rules: Engaging in unfair means or failing to comply with the official instructions during the examination.

RPSC SI Merit List 2026

The RPSC SI Merit List 2026 will be prepared based on the performance of candidates in the written examination and subsequent stages of the selection process. The merit list includes the names or roll numbers of candidates who have secured the highest ranks and are eligible for final selection. Candidates whose names appear in the merit list will be considered for appointment to the Sub Inspector posts, subject to document verification and fulfillment of all eligibility requirements.

How is the Final RPSC SI Merit List Calculated?

Many candidates are often confused about whether PET marks are included in the final merit list. As per the selection process, the final merit list is prepared only based on marks obtained in the written examination and interview.
The marking structure for final selection is as follows:

• Written Examination: 400 Marks
• Interview: 50 Marks
• Total Merit Marks: 450 Marks

The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is qualifying in nature. Candidates must secure the prescribed qualifying standards to remain eligible for selection; however, the marks obtained in the PET are not added to the final merit score. The final merit list is prepared solely on the basis of the combined marks obtained in the Written Examination and Interview.

आरपीएससी द्वारा जारी की गई आधिकारिक अधिसूचना के अनुसार, वस्तुनिष्ठ (Objective Type) लिखित परीक्षा के अंकों के आधार पर कुल 20,455 अभ्यर्थियों को शारीरिक दक्षता परीक्षा (PET) के लिए अस्थायी रूप से सफल घोषित किया गया है.

• परीक्षा का आयोजन: 5 अप्रैल 2026 और 6 अप्रैल 2026 को दो चरणों (प्रश्न पत्र-प्रथम और द्वितीय) में किया गया था.
• अगला चरण: सफल घोषित किए गए उम्मीदवार अब अगले चरण यानी Physical Efficiency Test (PET) में शामिल होंगे.
