UPGET Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria outline the academic and age requirements for UPGET 2026. Only eligible candidates can appear for the exam, including those from open schools and vocational healthcare streams. Below are the detailed conditions.

• Age: The minimum age for admission is 17 years on or before 31st December 2026.
• Citizenship: Only Indian citizens are eligible for admission.
• Educational Qualifications: Candidates must have passed 10+2 with English and obtained a minimum of 40% marks.
• Candidates from recognized State Open Schools and the National Institute of Open School (NIOS) are also eligible.
• Alternatively, candidates must have passed 10+2 with English, securing 40% marks in a vocational ANM course or vocational healthcare science stream.
• Registered ANMs with passing marks are also eligible.
• A 5% relaxation in total marks is provided for SC/ST candidates.
• Medical Fitness: Students must be medically fit.
