NCL Eligibility Criteria 2026
To be eligible for NCL Staff Nurse Recruitment 2026, candidates must meet the following conditions:
- Superannuation Period: Only applicants who retired between 01.01.2023 and 31.12.2025 are eligible. Those who superannuated before 31.12.2022 or after 31.12.2025 cannot apply.
- Other Conditions: Additional eligibility requirements will follow the guidelines of Coal India Limited, as per OO No. CIL/C-5B/MP & IR/Non-Ex./Guidelines/268 dated 12.10.2020.
Reservations
- Reservation for SC, ST, and OBC (NCL) candidates will be applied according to the Government of India rules, notifications, and amendments.
- Candidates seeking reservation benefits must provide valid certificates issued by a Competent Authority.
- SC/ST/OBC (NCL) candidates selected purely on merit will be counted under UR (unreserved) vacancies, and reserved posts will be filled separately from eligible candidates of the respective categories.
NCL Selection Process 2026
The selection for NCL Recruitment 2026 will be based on the following criteria:
1. Post-Specific Application
Applicants can apply only for the post from which they superannuated. Applications for any other post will not be considered.
2. Assessment Parameters
Eligible candidates meeting the minimum eligibility criteria will be assessed based on Physical Attendance and Annual Confidential Report (ACR) for the three years preceding superannuation (excluding the year of superannuation, except for those retiring on 31st March).
I. Physical Attendance (15 Marks for 3 years, 5 Marks per year)
- Above 90% attendance: 5 Marks
- 80% to 90% attendance: 3 Marks
- 70% to below 80% attendance: 2 Marks
- Below 70% attendance: 0 Marks
Note: Attendance includes actual working days and excludes leaves, but counts approved duty absences like PME, VTC, official tours, or company events. Percentage is calculated against total working days, including Sundays and holidays.
II. Annual Confidential Report (ACR) (15 Marks for 3 years, 5 Marks per year)
- ‘Outstanding’/‘Excellent’ grade: 5 Marks
- ‘Very Good’ grade: 3 Marks
Note: The year is considered as the Financial Year (April–March). ACR and attendance data will be sourced from official employee records.
3. Other Criteria
Additional selection rules follow CIL guidelines for re-employing superannuated non-executive employees.
4. Tie-Breaking
If two or more candidates score equal marks, the following tie-breaking methods will be applied sequentially:
- Higher marks in ACR
- Younger age
- Junior in the date of appointment
5. Provisional Merit Panel
Shortlisted candidates will be ranked based on marks scored, with tie-breaks resolved as above, and reservation rules applied while preparing the final merit panel.
