What Is The Eligibility Criteria?

Educational Qualification

Candidates must meet the following educational qualifications to be eligible for the respective posts under MP Police ASI Recruitment 2026.

Subedar (Stenographer):

  • Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or the equivalent examination from a recognised Board.
  • Candidates must have passed Hindi shorthand with a speed of 100 words per minute from a recognised Board, Polytechnic, ITI or equivalent institution.
  • Candidates must have passed the Computer Proficiency Certification Test (CPCT) conducted by the Department of Science and Technology, along with Hindi typing.
  • Candidates must also possess any one of the prescribed computer qualifications, such as:
    • Diploma-level examination conducted by DOEACC.
    • One-year COPA (Computer Operator and Programming Assistant) certificate from a government-recognised ITI.
    • Modern Office Management course from a recognised Polytechnic, College, University or ITI.
    • Computer Diploma from a UGC-recognised institution or open university.

Assistant Sub Inspector (Ministerial):

  • Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or 12th from a recognised Board/Institution.
  • Candidates must have passed the CPCT with Hindi typing conducted by the Department of Science and Technology.
  • Hindi shorthand is not required for the ASI (Ministerial) post.
