The JPSC Mains Examination 2026 is a descriptive (written) exam consisting of six compulsory papers. As per the exam rules, Paper 1 is qualifying in nature, and candidates must secure a minimum of 30 marks in this paper. Marks obtained in Paper 2 to Paper 6 are counted for the final merit list. Each paper is conducted for a duration of 3 hours.

Candidates who qualify the JPSC Mains Examination are called for the Interview (Personality Test). This stage evaluates the candidate’s personality, leadership qualities, administrative aptitude, and awareness of state, national, and international issues.
