Employees promoted under the Seniority Channel will ordinarily be retained within their current zone for three years, while those under the All India Channel are liable for transfer anywhere in India.

The eligibility criteria for the Bank of Baroda Promotion Exam 2025 are defined under two channels – Seniority Channel and All India Channel. Employees must be confirmed clerical staff with a minimum active service period as specified for their educational qualification. The maximum age limit is 55 years as of 1 April 2026. Candidates can apply through only one channel, and this choice will remain irrevocable for the current promotion exercise.

• The maximum permissible age for both channels is 55 years.
• Candidates on sabbatical leave cannot apply.
• Service from merged banks (like Dena or Vijaya Bank) will be given weightage as per merger policies.
• Ex-servicemen will receive one year of weightage for every five years of defence service (up to a maximum of two years).

• Employees who refuse promotion to Officer Cadre will be ineligible for the next two promotion exercises.
• Those promoted can request reversion to the Clerical Cadre within 12 months, subject to bank approval.
• Such reverted employees will also be barred from the next two exercises and will return as Customer Service Associates.
