The Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow has released an official notification announcing SGPGI Nursing Officer Vacancy 2025 backlog vacancies for the post of Nursing Officer and Stenographer. These vacancies have arose from previous recruitment cycles and will now be filled through the same CBT and merit list used for the fresh vacancies advertised earlier. Candidates who applied under the main recruitment advertisement issued on 11 June 2025 will be considered for these backlog posts as well.

SGPGI Nursing Officer Selection Process 2025
The backlog vacancies will be filled jointly with the fresh vacancies advertised through Advt. No. I/08/1–12/Rectt/2025–26. The selection process includes:
Computer Based Test (CBT)
The CBT for backlog and fresh vacancies will be conducted together.
Merit List Based Recruitment
- Backlog vacancies will be filled first, based on the merit order, followed by candidates placed below for the fresh vacancies.
- SGPGI has clarified that the same merit list will be used to fill both backlog and newly advertised posts.
SGPGI Nursing Officer Salary 2025
Candidates selected as Nursing Officers at SGPGIMS will receive a salary under the 7th Pay Commission, with a Pay Level of Level 7. The approximate monthly salary includes:
- Basic Pay
- Dearness Allowance (DA)
- House Rent Allowance (HRA)
- Other applicable allowances as per UP Government rules
