RPSC AE Exam Date 2026 Out
As per the latest circular (No. 16/2025–26) issued on January 13, 2026, the Public Works Department (PWD) has increased the vacancies for Assistant Engineer posts. The number of Civil Engineering posts has risen from 125 to 140 while Electrical Engineering posts have increased from 20 to 27.

RPSC Assistant Engineer Exam Pattern 2026
Main Examination Pattern
The Main Examination consists of two compulsory papers and one optional subject, which itself has two papers. Each paper is allotted 3 hours.
Compulsory Papers
- Paper I – Hindi: 100 marks
- Paper II – Social Aspects of Engineering: 100 marks
Optional Subject Papers
Candidates must choose one optional subject from the following list. Each optional subject includes two papers, each of 200 marks.

Qualifying Criteria
- Minimum 35% marks in each compulsory paper (Paper I & II)
