What is the IREL 2026 Selection Criteria for Interns?

Shortlisting Based on Merit: Candidates meeting the age and educational eligibility will be shortlisted based on marks in their qualifying examination. For the Rare Earths Division (RED), priority is given to the Land Affected Category, peripheral villages, wards of IREL employees, Ernakulam district and Kerala state. CGPA/grades must be converted to percentages as per University norms.

Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must submit originals along with self-attested copies of all required documents, including date of birth proof, educational certificates, category/OBC declaration, Aadhaar, nativity certificate and enrollment proof. RED candidates must also provide a valid Police Verification Certificate. Incomplete or missing documents will lead to rejection.

Medical Examination: Candidates clearing document verification must be declared medically fit by the Company’s doctor. Only then will they be engaged as apprentices and assigned departments for training under the Apprentices Act. Any false information or ineligibility detected at any stage may lead to cancellation of candidature.

IREL Apprentices Salary 2026

Apprentices at Indian Rare Earths Limited. will receive a stipend as per the Apprenticeship Rules, 1992 and any updates notified by the Government. In addition to the stipend each apprentice will be provided a food coupon worth ₹1,500 per month.
