Victoria University (VU) has been formally granted permission by the Indian government to construct a full-fledged campus in India. The announcement came at a ceremonial occasion in New Delhi, where India’s Minister for Education, Dharmendra Pradhan, presented university officials with a Letter of Intent. The initiative is part of India’s National Education Policy (NEP), which was implemented to foster increased global collaboration and innovation in the country’s higher education industry.
Victory University’s planned campus, which is likely to be located in the Delhi National Capital Region. The designation e. establishes it as an accredited Foreign Higher Education Institution, allowing it to build and open its own independent campus by 2027. As part of its unique offering, the university will launch its award-winning VU Block Model, an innovative teaching method that allows students to concentrate on one subject at a time through intensive, four-week interactive learning blocks.

Victoria University to set up its First Campus in Delhi
VU obtained a Letter of Intent from India’s University Grants Commission at a ceremony in New Delhi with the Minister for Education, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, allowing the university to construct a campus as an approved foreign higher education institution. Victoria University (VU) welcomed the news that the Indian government has awarded it a licence to develop a comprehensive campus in the country under the new National Education Policy (NEP), a first for the state. Victoria University intends to open a campus in the Delhi National Capital Region and will provide undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programs. One of the first Australian universities to seek this chance, Victoria University now has official planning clearance to recruit education partners and create a second campus in 2027.
VU’s Block Model Learning System will introduce
Victory University will provide undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programs geared to India’s changing educational and industrial demands. VU will include the VU Block Model in its plans. The VU Block Model, which is internationally acclaimed and award-winning, allows students to focus on one subject at a time across four-week blocks using interactive workshop-style sessions. VU was the first university in Australia to use this innovative learning paradigm, and it remains the largest university outside of North America to do so.
