Dr. Satbir Bedi, Chairperson of PSEB, disclosed the 8th Class Result 2024 Punjab Board along with the toppers list and pass percentage during a press conference at the Mohali headquarters on April 30, 2024, at 04:20 P.M. According to the PSEB 8th Result 2024 statistics, a total of 2,91,917 students took the examinations this year, with 2,86,987 students passing with a pass percentage of 98.31%, which is slightly higher that last year pass rate.

A total of 4641 students are going to retake the Class 8 exam. The results for 289 candidates have been withheld. For the academic year 2024, girls passed with 98.83%, while boys passed with 97.84%.  This year, the overall pass rate for government schools is 98.07%, non-government schools at 99.31%, and aided schools at 96.76%.
