NEET UG 2026 Registration: NTA releases Advisory on Aadhaar Update

The National Testing Agency is about to start the registration process for the NEET UG 2026 by the first week of February 2026. This year, the exam is scheduled to be held on May 3rd, 2026. To make the aspirants’ preparation go in the correct direction, NMC releases the latest NEET UG Syllabus on its official website.

Just before the commencement of the NEET Registration 2026 process, NTA has released a special Advisory and instructions on updation of Aadhaar Card/ UDID Card/ Category Certificate (EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL) before filling the online NEET Application Form 2026.

Via a press release dated January 5, 2026, the National Testing Agency has issued an important Advisory for applicants preparing for the NEET UG 2026. Before registering, NTA advises NEET UG 2026 hopefuls to ensure their Aadhaar Card is up to date and accurate. The Aadhaar Card details should match the NEET application form. NTA asks to update these documents

To streamline the process for NEET (UG)-2026, all eligible aspirants are advised to ensure that the following documents are updated well in advance before applying for NEET (UG)-2026 in order to avoid any discrepancies, grievances or rejection at a later stage:

  • Aadhaar Card- All the candidates appearing for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2026 are advised to ensure that their Aadhaar Card is accurate, valid and duly updated in all respects. The Aadhaar details must correctly reflect the following information of the Candidate:
    i. Name
    ii. Date of Birth
    Gender
    iv. Photograph
    v. Address
    vi. Biometric Information (wherever applicable)

Candidates requiring any correction or update in their Aadhaar details may do so by following the UIDAI guidelines. For Aadhaar update related services, candidates may visit the official UIDAI website: https://uidai.gov.in/ог

  • UDID Card (for Persons with Disabilities)- Candidates are advised that UDID Card is valid, updated and renewed, as required.
    c) Category Certificate: Candidates are advised that Category certificate (EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL) is updated and valid.

NEET 2026 Registration dates

The NEET UG 2026 registration dates will be announced with the issuance of the notice. The NTA is tentatively planning to issue the NEET application form 2026 in the first week of February 2026. How to Register for the NEET Exam 2026?

The NEET registration and application process is completely done in online mode via the NTA NEET official website. Here is a step-by-step approach to registering for NEET UG 2026

1. Visit the official website at nta.ac.in or neet.nta.nic.in.
2. Click the registration form link on the webpage.
3. Select “New Registration”.
4. Enter your basic information, including name, mobile number, and email address, and click the submit button.
5. Enter the provided OTP to register.
6. After registering, log in using your application number and password.
7. Complete the application form and upload the required documents
8. Save, submit, and pay the registration fees as prescribed by nta
9. Download the NEET application form for future reference.
