NEET Cut-off deciding factors: 2021
NEET UG Cut-off Marks are decided based on a lot of factors. The first and the most important factor on which the cut-off depends for NEET is the number of seats. Each college has a limited number of seats for which the students will be eligible to apply.
The second most important factor is the difficulty level of the examination. If the NEET examination is easier compared to the previous years, then the cut-off marks for NEET 2021 are expected to rise higher.
The third criteria depend on the number of total students appearing for NEET in that particular year. If the number of candidates appearing for NEET 2021 is higher, then the cut-off rises. If the number of students overall is lesser, then the cut-off is expected to drop.
The last factor that decides the ultimate rank is the marks scored by the topper of that year. If the topper scores full marks, then also the cut-off will rise. But, if the topper doesn’t get the full marks in NEET 2021, you can expect a lenient cut-off.
The caste of a student will also play a major role in deciding the cut-off. The cut-off for general category students will be a bit higher than the other reserved categories.
The cut-off will be released along with the NEET results of 2021. Students can then check their results and the cut-off. The counselling for the medical colleges will soon start after the results are announced. The NEET score is also applicable for state counselling.
