JoSAA Counselling 2025 Round 5 Seat Allotment Fees

Candidates must pay the seat acceptance fee (SAF) as soon as they are assigned a seat in any stage of the JoSAA counselling procedure. Unless the candidate pays the SAF, the document verification will not take place for them. The seat acceptance fee (SAF) is INR 15,000 for applicants with the category tags SC, ST, GEN-PwD, GEN-EWS-PwD, OBC-NCL-PwD, SC-PwD, or ST-PwD, and INR 30,000 for all other candidates (the amount includes INR 5,000 JoSAA processing expenses). The seat acceptance cost, excluding JoSAA administrative charges of INR 5000, will be applied to the admission fee.

What to do If Seat is allotted in JOSAA Round 5

Candidates can check the JoSAA 2025 round 5 results at josaa.nic.in using their individual logins. Candidates are assigned seats in each round of JoSAA based on the JoSAA 2025 choices they have made and their JEE Main/JEE Advanced AIR. Candidates can begin to withdraw seats and depart the seat allocation process from July 12 to July 14, 2025, with the latest day to reply to withdrawal queries being July 15, 2025.

JOSAA Seat Allotment 2025 – float or slide option Available?

JoSAA has also stated that Round 5 will be the final round in which applicants can choose between ‘float’ or’ slide’ alternatives. After round 5, no slide or float choices will be available. Candidates must proceed with caution because this is the final round of deciding whether to float or slide. In round 6 of JoSAA, which is the final counselling round, candidates must ‘freeze’ their allotted seat.

The sixth and final round will only have the ‘freeze’ option, which means candidates must accept their assigned seat without the possibility of upgrading. As a result, if students want to be able to change seats in this round, they must use good judgment.
