JEE Mains Exam Schedule 2026: The National Testing Agency will hold the JEE Main 2026 exam from January 21st to January 23, 2026, for session 1. The JEE City Slip 2026 will be available to download in the first week of January, and the JEE Main Admit Card will be announced 5 to 7 days before the exam. NTA will conduct the JEE exam in two sessions: one in January and another in April. The JEE exam consists of two independent papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. The exam is mostly computer-based, with the exception of the Drawing section of Paper 2, which will be given using pen and paper. JEE Mains Exam Schedule 2026
In the JEE Mains 2026 exam, Paper 1 is intended for admission to BE/BTech courses and contains questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The paper level is based on the Class 11 and 12 curriculum. JEE Main Paper 2 is for admissions to BArch and B.Planning courses. The JEE Main syllabus for Paper 1 and Paper 2, and exam pattern, along with the official announcement, have been released to assist applicants in successfully planning their preparation.
JEE Main Exam Timings 2026
The JEE Main 2026 exam is held in two shifts: in the morning from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and in the afternoon from 3:00 to 6 pm. Early reporting in the JEE exam centre is critical for efficient entry, security checks, and instruction reading. To reduce tension and delays, plan to arrive well before the reporting window. JEE Mains Exam Day Instructions
All examinees must completely follow the JEE Mains exam day instructions published by NTA. T Understanding these NTA rules is critical to avoiding unintentional disqualification.
- Always carry a printed JEE admit card and a valid photo ID.
- Follow the invigilators’ instructions attentively at each level.
- Personal possessions, including electronic gadgets, Bluetooth devices, are not permitted inside.
- To avoid entry complications, report to the JEE Main exam centre on time.
