JEE Mains 2026 Registration Updates: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to issue the JEE Mains Application form for the year 2026 this week. The JEE Mains 2026 registration link will be launched on the websites jeemain.nta.nic.in and nta.nic.in.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) 2026, a nationwide computer-based engineering exam that is a prerequisite for admission to undergraduate courses (B.E./B.Tech/B.Planning/B.Arch) at NITs, IIITs, CFTIs, and other institutions/universities in India that participate in state government programs. JEE Mains 2026 Registration Updates
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will launch the online application window for the 2026 Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) in October. Also earlier, the board made the JEE Main 2026 registration demo link available at demo.nta.nic.in for testing purposes. Once the official link is activated, candidates must review the instructions and qualifications before filling out the form.
In a notification issued on September 29, the NTA asked applicants to ensure that their Aadhaar card, UDID card (for persons with disabilities), and category certificates (EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL) are up to date and valid before submitting the JEE Main 2026 application form. JEE Main 2026 Dates for Session 1 & 2
Every year, the National Testing Agency conducts the JEE Mains Examination is two sessions. Session One is in January 2026, and the 2nd session is in April. JEE Main 2026 Registration: Eligibility Criteria
Knowing the eligibility criteria for JEE Main 2026 is critical to determining whether you qualify to take the exam, which includes important facts such as age limitations, academic prerequisites, and the number of attempts allowed. The JEE Main 2026 eligibility requirements are as follows:

JEE Mains 2026 Registration Form Filling Process

Important Instruction about PASSWORD:
The Application Number printed on the computer-generated Confirmation Page must be mentioned in all such correspondence. It is therefore essential to note down the application number printed on the Confirmation Page. During online form filling,t he candidate will be required to choose a password and a Security Question and its Answer. The candidate is advised to record/remember his/her password for all future logins.
For subsequent logins, the candidate will be able to log in directly with his/her respective system-generated Application Number and the chosen Password. The candidate is advised not to disclose or share his/her password with anybody. Neither NTA nor NIC will be responsible for the violation or misuse of the password of a candidate. Candidates can change their passwords after login if desired.
Documents Required for JEE Mains Registration

- The recent passport size photograph should be in colour with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against white background. Photograph should be named as ‘Photograph’ and in JPG/JPEG format (clearly legible) between 10 kb to 300 kb.
- Signature file should be named as ‘Signature’ and in JPG/JPEG format (clearly legible) between 10 kb to 50 kb.
- Scanned copy of Class X or Equivalent Certificate/Marks-sheet should be named as ‘Class-X Certificate’ and should be a pdf between 10 kb to 300 kb (clearly legible).
- Scanned copy of PwD/PwBD certificate should be named as ‘Disability Certificate’ and should be a pdf between 10 kb to 300 kb (clearly legible).

Guidelines for Uploading Documents
The following points should be kept in mind while uploading the documents.
- A color or black and white photo should be chosen, depending on which the viewer finds most appealing. Concerning the photograph’s features, candidates may wear spectacles. While headwear such as caps is prohibited, glasses such as sunglasses are not permitted.
- Images that are too blurry will not be processed. The uploaded photo should be clear and in the right size and format as specified by the NTA in this guidance.
- Probably the signature should be readily visible on the white paper. The size and format of the uploaded signature should meet the standard requirements.
- Uploaded documents must be of the necessary size and format, as specified by the NTA.
JEE Application Form Fee
After completing the registration and application form, the candidates have to pay the requisite examination fees. The JEE Mains Application Fees can be paid only through online mode using Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card and UPI.
Processing charges and GST as applicable are chargeable to the candidates (in addition to the examination fees) by the concerned Bank/Payment Gateway Integrator. This one-time opportunity enables candidates to remedy inaccuracies in specific portions of their applications. Candidates must follow these methods to correct the JEE Main 2026 Application Form.
- Visit the official JEE Main website, jeemain.nta.ac.in.
- Click on the link to the JEE Main application Correction Window.
- Log in with your JEE Main application number and password.
- The JEE Main form will be displayed on your screen.
- Select the fields you wish to edit and make the necessary changes.
- Click the “Save” button to apply the changes.
- After finishing the revisions, save and print a copy of the amended JEE Main application form for your reference.
