The Central Board of Secondary Education has accepted that there are mistakes in the CBSE Term 1 question papers and has told students that there is a redressal procedure in place to resolve any complaints and that complete forms would be provided to the students.

There was a mistake in the class 10th Term 1 English paper and another in the class 12th Term 1 Sociology paper this time. There were several inaccuracies pointed out by teachers and students, including question numbers 13 and 14 of the class 10th Term 1 English paper, which solely displayed answers/options but did not ask any questions. Even the exam pattern indicated by the board in the sample paper was not followed in the class 12th Term 1 Accountancy paper.
