CBSE sociology class 12 syllabus 2023-24: Sociology is defined as “the study of human societies, their interactions, and the processes that sustain and change them.” It is a senior secondary elective course given by the Central Board of Secondary Education. The CBSE sociology class 12 syllabus 2023-24 includes a wide range of topics, such as. This chapter introduces students to the fundamental concepts of sociology, such as society, culture, social structure, and social interaction. This chapter addresses the various forms of social organisations and social institutions, such as family, education, religion, and the economy. Social Stratification and Social Mobility: This chapter discusses how societies are stratified, such as by class, caste, and gender. It also goes through the factors that affect social mobility. Deviance and Social Control: This chapter examines several sorts of deviance, including crime, delinquency, and mental illness. It also addresses the many methods through which communities control deviance. This chapter investigates the various causes that can produce societal change, such as technological change, economic change, and political change. It also goes over the many types of social change, such as evolutionary and revolutionary change.
