AILET 2023 Exam

AILET 2023 Exam- Every year, National Law University conducts the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET 2023). This is a national-level exam that is held once a year. If this exam is passed, there is a chance of admission to the National Law University. Aside from that, bypassing the AILET 2023, one will be admitted to UG and PG level courses such as Ph.D., B.A., LL.B. (Hons.), and LL.M.

Step 5:Please enter the necessary information in the “User Registration Form”.The information provided by applicants must be valid, and the information on the 10th mark sheet will be regarded as authentic; any changes may result in the application form being rejected.
Step 6: Click the “Confirm” button. Button for submitting registration details.
Step 7: Select the correct application form and click the “Apply” button.

Step 8: Then click on the “Pending Requests” section, select the form you would like to use for payment, and click “Make Payment”.

Step 9: Then you redirect to the payment gateway, Complete your payment of the AILET 2023 Application online via credit card, a debit card, or internet banking.
Select one of the payment methods, enter the fee details and pay the fee.
Step 10: After payment, you will receive a confirmation email. Candidates can then view and print the confirmation slip.

Step 11:Applicants should maintain a copy of their completed application form and their fee receipt for future reference.

Candidates must pay the AILET 2023 application fee using one of several payment methods. One can use a credit card, a debit card, or even internet banking to make a payment. Application fees for the AILET 2023 Exam vary according to different categories of students as follows-

•For General category students – Rs. 3050/-

•For ST/ SC/ PwD category students – Rs. 1050/

•For Kashmiri migrant/ Foreign nationals – Rs. 3050/-

AILET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

BA LLB (Hons)
  • 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks (40% in the case of SC/ST/PWD)
  • Candidates who are taking their 10+2 test may also apply.
LLM
  • LLB or equivalent degree with at least 50% (45% for SC/ST/people with disabilities).
  • Candidates who are in their final year of law school are also able to apply.
PhD
  • LL.M. or an equivalent law degree with 55% marks (50% in the case of SC/ST/PWD).

AILET 2023 Exam Pattern

NLU Delhi has deleted two components from the AILET 2023 exam pattern commencing in 2022, including Elementary Mathematics and Legal Aptitude. As a result, the AILET 2023 exam will be divided into three sections: English Language, Logical Reasoning, and Current Affairs and General Knowledge. The sectional weightage for the AILET 2023 exam has also been altered.
Following the modifications, the amended AILET 2023 syllabus for BA LLB is provided below for test preparation.

The AILET 2023 syllabus is based on elementary-level English grammar.

English Vocabulary Synonyms, Antonyms, Homonyms, Word definitions, Analogies
English Proficiency Idioms and Phrases, One-word substitution, Sentence improvement & rearrangement, Fill in the blanks with suitable words, Subject-Verb Agreement, Conditionals, Noun, Pronoun, Articles & Conjunction, Adjective, and Determinants.

AILET Syllabus 2023- LLM

Subject Syllabus
Law of Torts It is considered wrong for the claimant to suffer from legal liability for committing the cruel act in a common-law jurisdiction.
Jurisprudence This is the theoretical study of law to understand legal reasoning, legal systems, legal institutions, and their role in society.
International Law It works as a framework for the practice of stable and organized international relations. The law consists of rules, agreements, and treaties that have to be implemented. These rules and norms are used to bridge the gap between the nations.
Family Law This section consists of rules related to marriage, family, adoption, paternity, surrogacy, child custody, and juvenile laws. The candidate needs to be well aware of the rules on the subtopics, as mentioned earlier.
Law of contracts This section deals with the rules required to be followed when two or more parties are involved in an agreement. The services promised, be it to provide a product or commit to providing a service, are enforceable by law. There are several types of laws with their terms and conditions, which have to be followed by the involved parties. This law governing body is called the law of contracts.
Property Law This section governs various types of ownership and tenancy in real property and private property, which comes under the standard legal law of the system. Under the civil law system, there is a division between movable and immovable property.
Criminal Law Laws dealing with crimes are mentioned in this section. This section deals with the laws related to threatening, murder, and otherwise endangering to safety, health, property, and moral welfare of an individual, inclusive of one-self.
Intellectual Property Law It consists of rules securing and enforcing legal rights of invention, artwork, and design. This law protects the personal ownership of a property and protects the exclusivity of intangible assets.
