Find the number.

A.

5

B.

6

C.

1O

D.

4

Correct option is A

Concept Used:
Forming a quadratic equation and solving for x.
Solution:
According to the question;
3x24x=x+503x24xx50=03x25x50=03x215x+10x50=03x(x5)+10(x5)=0(3x+10)(x5)=03x^2 - 4x = x + 50 \\3x^2 - 4x - x - 50 = 0 \\3x^2 - 5x - 50 = 0 \\3x^2 - 15x + 10x - 50 = 0 \\3x(x – 5) + 10(x – 5) = 0 \\(3x + 10)(x – 5) = 0 \\
So, x = 5 or x = 103 \frac{-10}{3}
Thus, option(a) 5 is correct.
