What If Your Allotted City Isn’t Your Preferred One?

While submitting the SSC CGL application form, candidates can choose their preferred examination cities from the options available in their respective regions. The final exam city is allotted by SSC based on factors such as available seats and candidate volume. Therefore, candidates may not always receive their first-choice city, particularly when the number of applicants is high.

Once the City Intimation Slip is released, SSC does not entertain individual requests to change the allotted city. The allotment is treated as final for Tier 1. Since changes are not possible, the practical step is to start arranging travel and stay for the city shown on your slip rather than waiting for a possible change.
