Railway Group D Exam Starts from 27th of November 2025, Check the Official Notice For the New Exam Date

The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have officially announced the revised exam dates for the Railway Group D (CEN 08/2024) recruitment. As per the latest notice issued on 18 November 2025, the Computer-Based Test (CBT) for various Level 1 posts under the 7th CPC Pay Matrix will now begin from 27 November 2025 and continue till 16 January 2026.

This new schedule replaces the earlier dates and provides candidates with a clear timeline for the upcoming examination.

RRB Group D Exam Schedule 2025 Announced

This year, around 1.08 crore candidates have submitted their applications for Group D Level 1 posts, and to accommodate this huge number, the Board will be conducting the Computer-Based Exam across a span of almost two months from 27 Nov 2025 to 16 Jan 2026. So, candidates must keep an eye on the RRBs website for daily updates. Along with the exam date, the Board has announced the exam city intimation and call letter release dates as well.

Exam City Slip To Release on 19 November 2025

The RRBs have confirmed that the Exam City & Date Intimation Slip will be released on or before 19 November 2025. Candidates can log in to their respective regional RRB websites to check their allotted exam city and exam date.

Note: Along with this, SC/ST candidates will also be able to download their Free Travel Authority, which can be used for travel to the exam city.

E-Call Letter to Be Downloaded 4 Days Before Exam (By 23rd November)

RRBs have informed that the E-Call Letter (admit card) will be available for download four days before the exam date mentioned in the city intimation slip. SMS and email notifications are being sent to candidates once their City Intimation Slip and admit card link become active.

How to Retrieve Registration Details

Candidates who have forgotten their registration number or password can visit www.rrbapply.gov.in. The website provides options to retrieve the registration ID or reset the password through the “Forgot Password” link.
