The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB) is preparing to introduce major changes in the pattern and syllabus of its recruitment examinations. Under the proposed Combined Recruitment Examination Rules, 2026, the exam will include 25 questions focused on Madhya Pradesh, covering topics such as general knowledge, state polity, and government welfare schemes. At the same time, the weightage of Mathematics and Reasoning may be reduced in the new exam pattern.
MPESB Exam Pattern Changed: Key Highlights
The General Knowledge about Madhya Pradesh will be increased in various recruitment examinations. Experts believe that youth with a better understandings of subjects related to the state will get opportunities.
Junior Services Combined Examination
- MPESB is planning changes to the recruitment examination pattern.
- Out of 100 questions, 25 questions will be based on Madhya Pradesh General Knowledge, Polity, and Government Schemes.
- The number of Mathematics and Reasoning questions will be reduced compared to the previous ones .
- A draft of the Combined Recruitment Examination Rules, 2026 has been prepared.
Technical and Engineering Examinations
The format of recruitment examinations for technical and engineering positions has also been changed. These examination will now include questions on General Knowledge, Computer knowledge , Logical Reasoning and related technical subjects.
Only Three Eligibility Examination to be Conducted
At present, MPESB conducts around 15 different recruitment examinations, but now only three eligibility exams will be conducted. The recruitment process in various departments will be completed on the basis of the scores obtained in these exam.
New Examination Categories
There will be three new eligibility Test in the state.
- The combined general eligibility test will consists of 100 questions divided into four parts. These will include questions on General Knowledge, Current Affairs, GK of Madhya Pradesh , Polity and Government Schemes, Mathematics , Reasoning, Date analysis, Computer Knowledge and Language Skills
- The Combined Technical Eligibility Test will include 25 questions from Madhya Pradesh General Knowledge, Polity , 75 Questions from Technical Subjects Technical areas may include: Agriculture, Science, Computer Science, Civil Engineering, Electronics and other technical disciplines
- Teacher Eligibility Test will be conducted for the recruitment in school education department.
