Ladakh Police Constable Eligibility Criteria 2026
Candidates must meet the prescribed domicile, educational qualification, age and other eligibility conditions for the Constable post.
Domicile
Candidates must possess a valid Ladakh Residential Certificate (LRC)/domicile certificate issued by the competent authority. Additional domicile conditions apply for Border and Women Battalion vacancies.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed 10th Class/Matriculation from a recognised Board. Serving Ladakh Police SPOs with at least three years of continuous engagement may be eligible with an 8th-pass qualification, subject to the notification conditions.
Age Limit
The age limit is 18 to 28 years as on 1 January 2026, with applicable relaxation for eligible categories.

Desired Qualification and Incentive Marks

- Proficiency in driving along with a valid Light Motor Vehicle Driving Licence with transport endorsement; or
- A one-year Certificate Course in Computer Application from an institution recognised by AICTE, along with documentary proof of recognition.
