What is the Eligibility Criteria?
All candidates who want to apply for the HPPSC HPAS Recruitment 2026 must meet the educational qualification and age limit criteria.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must be citizens of India and should possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised university. Candidates whose qualifying examination results are awaited may also apply, subject to the conditions mentioned in the official notification.
Candidates who have passed the final professional MBBS or equivalent medical examination but have not completed their internship may also be provisionally considered, subject to fulfilling the prescribed conditions.

The selection process comprises three sequential stages: Preliminary Exam, Main Written Examination, and Personality Test (Interview).
Preliminary Examination Scheme
The Prelims consists of two objective-type (MCQ) papers of 200 marks each.
- Paper-I (General Studies): 100 questions, 200 marks. Decides the merit list for Main Exam qualification.
- Paper-II (Aptitude Test): 100 questions, 200 marks. Qualifying in nature (minimum 33% required).
- Negative Marking: 1/3 of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for every incorrect answer,.
- Duration: 2 hours for each paper.
