BPSC District Statistical Officer Apply Online

BPSC DSO Selection Process
The selection process of Bihar District Selection Officer includes three stages:
Preliminary Examination:
This will be a two-hour objective-type test with 150 marks, covering General Studies. It is a qualifying exam, and candidates must secure minimum marks (e.g., 40% for General category) to proceed. The number of candidates selected for the main exam will be ten times the total vacancies.
Main (Written) Examination:
This will be a subjective examination. Compulsory Subjects: General Hindi (qualifying only, 100 marks), General Studies Paper I (300 marks), and General Studies Paper II (300 marks).
- Optional Subjects (choose one): Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics (300 marks each).
- Minimum qualifying marks apply to the main exam as well.
Interview:
Successful candidates from the main examination will be called for an interview, which will be for a total of 120 marks. The number of candidates called for the interview will be two and a half times the total vacancies.
Merit List:
The final merit list will be published upon completing all three stages.
BPSC District Selection Officer Salary
Selected candidates will be offered a competitive salary ranging from ₹53,100 to ₹167,800 (Level-9), along with other allowances as per government rules.
