SBI PO 2025 Exam consists of three stages: Prelims, Mains, and Interview and this year a total of 541 vacancies are to be filled. The Bank conducted the SBI PO Mains exam on 13 Sept for prelims-qualified candidates can those pass in Mains will be called for final stage of recruitment which isthe  Psychometric Test and Interview.

Qualifying Mains is also important because its marks are added along with interview marks for final merit list preparation, hence, its a crucial stage of aspirants.

The difficulty level of the SBI PO Mains exam directly impacts the cut off marks. If the exam is tough, then the cut off will be low and vice versa.

SBI PO Mains Exam Analysis 2025: Section-wise Comprehensive Review

As mentioned above, the Mains exam has both objective and subjective papers. The total duration of the exam is 3 hours and 30 minutes, and each section has its own timing within which candidates have to complete the test.

The SBI PO Mains 2025 exam was found to be tough and lengthy, especially in the Reasoning and DI sections. While General Awareness and English were moderate, the Descriptive Paper was manageable for those with good writing practice. Below is the detailed section-wise analysis:

This section was considered the toughest, with complex puzzles and logical reasoning questions. Even at the Mains level, the puzzles were tricky and consumed a lot of time.

  • Data Sufficiency – box puzzle + seating arrangement.
  • Seating Arrangement – 12 people, 2 rows of 6 with variables.

The DI section was mostly calculative in nature and questions asked were as follows:

  1. Number Series (Indirect) – calculate variables first, then identify series pattern.
  2. Ring DI + Line Graph – Bus & Truck manufactured over 3 months (sold, unsold, total).
  3. Pie Chart DI – sold & unsold data (difficult, many skipped).
  4. Bar Graph DI – Boys vs Girls, % and ratio-based questions.
  5. Arithmetic Section – Questions from Mensuration, Probability, etc.
